About this experience

Chacahua is a national park. It's also a living community — Afro-Mexican families who've fished, cooked, and danced on this coast for centuries. Most visitors see the beach. We go deeper.

By boat through the lagoon system, past crocodile territory and bird colonies, into the village. You'll eat with a family who cooks what the lagoon provides. You'll hear the son jarocho — music that traces a line from West Africa through Veracruz to this shore. And you'll walk a coastline that feels like the end of the road, because it is.

This experience takes a full day. It earns every hour.
